Project Overview
In September of 2017, I traveled to Los Angeles, California to conduct on-site field research at the NBC Hollywood Studios theme park.

This research helped deliver:
▸evaluation of customer-facing touch points
design recommendations directly impacting digital interaction, physical product, signage, and traffic flow within the park
▸a complete report of research findings

My Role
Before beginning field research, we met with internal stakeholders to present a preliminary research and ensure we balanced the needs of diverse teams, from sales and quality control to management and future ventures.

We took a heuristic approach to the field work, performing expert audits of the existing experience, interviewing both guests and park employees, and conducting observational research from afar.

We entered our field research with robust discussion guides and research workbooks to facilitate both written & sketched note taking, and made updates to our methods as needed to address changing research needs.

Research methods leveraged throughout this project included:
cognitive walkthroughs
ergonomic analysis
fly-on-the-wall observation
journey mapping
interviews
shadowing
